Research Narrative
My research is focused on identifying novel aspects of the in vivo transport mechanisms. When such aspects are identified, designing therapeutic constructs optimized to “ride” on these novel mechanisms to their respective targets becomes possible.
Accordingly, the research activities of my lab include:
The current research focus is on the therapy delivery through the cerebrospinal fluid, perivascular transport of macromolecules in the CNS, and barrier-free delivery of therapeutics to the CNS.
Accordingly, the research activities of my lab include:
- Investigation of in vivo transport processes, mainly using novel PET/CT-based methods.
- Development and characterization of macromolecular and supramolecular therapeutics utilizing the newly discovered transport mechanisms.
- Development of accessory technologies for assembling macromolecular therapeutics, including novel fully biodegradable "stealth" biomaterials.
